The Island Family Story  Aloha! As a public school teacher and mother of four, I saw the need for a family publication created especially for parents in Hawaii. I dreamed of a publication that would combine informational articles, family-friendly resources, and a family calendar full of great events to get families out of the house and enjoying our beautiful island paradise. Now in our 13th year, Island Family is still Hawaii's only monthly magazine for parents! Our magazine is where Hawaii's parents turn for parenting information, family shopping ideas, fun places to go, great things to do, family-friendly restaurants, and expert advice on raising kids.Each monthly issue features great contests and giveaways for parents and kids! Themed monthly issues feature special sections with maternity resources, educational guides and directories, summer camp directories, preschools and daycare centers, hospital comparison charts, private school comparison charts, and extra-curricular activities' guides. Hawaii's #1 source of parenting information, Island Family also features the Kids’ Pages, with activities, games, contests and prizes just for kids.
